So brace yourselves for cherry everything coming to the blog. You're so welcome! 😋
Photos above taken by my nine-year-old little girl :)
I love using fresh and seasonal produce in summer. And you can't get more seasonal than cherries. Especially if they're free from your garden! It would be a sin not to use them in e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g!!
This is how this Moscow Mule recipe was born. It's basically my twist on the classic recipe, and you can make one or two servings to enjoy pronto, or a big batch cocktail to quench a thirsty crowd at a summer party.
I love cocktails where you just bash ingredients together, add a bit of this, a sprinkling of that...and cheers!
I think that'w why I so partial to a Mojito or a Caipirinha. And the Moscow Mule totally fits in this bash-and-go category 😊
Cherry Moscow Mule Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients:
* 1 ounce or 1 shot of vodka
* 1 ounce or 1 shot of Kirsch or cherry vodka
* 1/2 ounce simple syrup
* 4 cherries, pitted
* mint leaves to taste + garnish
* half a lime + slices for garnish
* 8 ounces (250 ml) ginger beer
* ice
Directions:
1) Muddle cherries, lime, simple syrup and mint.
2) Add the vodka and Kirsch and stir. Top with ginger beer, more cherries, lime slices and serve with ice.
For a big batch cocktail use the following measures:
* 6 parts vodka
* 3 parts Kirsch
* 1 part limes or juice
* 24 parts ginger beer
* cherries to taste

ReplyDeleteIronically I passed up Moscow Mule cups today while at Burlington's. They were only $14.99 for two, that is a good deal. To top it off we are Sobieski fans. I'm going to have to go back and get those mugs. Thanks for linking up with us at Celebrate Your Story and have a great weekend.
