Thank you to the Chinet® brand for sponsoring this post.

To end the year on a fabulously high note, we've gone all glitz, glam, pink, and sparkly for our New Year's Eve celebrations! Is there a better way to end the year's festivities? We think not!

We teamed up with the Chinet® brand to show you some easy entertaining ideas and recipes you can pull off with style and ease using their fully coordinated line of disposable tableware: the Chinet® Cut Crystal® collection and Chinet® Classic White™ products. Check out all the glitz details below!

A Pink and Silver New Year's Eve Party – The Tablescape

I LOVE entertaining and gathering with family and friends, especially at this time of year. There’s nothing quite like spending time together, celebrating the victories and blessings from the passing year, and looking forward to an even more prosperous new year!

For a party like New Year's Eve, disposable but stylish tableware is a must! That's why we've teamed up with the Chinet brand – their products help add a touch of elegance to any soirée, and make cleanup easy so I can spend more time with friends, family and guests!

I love that their products' clear design and elegant swirl pattern match any party theme or décor, allowing me to perfectly style and enhance my party table.

Plus, Chinet Cut Crystal products are super convenient for entertaining a crowd and look incredibly stylish for this kind of celebration. Not to mention that they're sturdy and durable, so you know they won't fail you!

For this New Year's Eve party I used the following Chinet brand products:

* Chinet Cut Crystal dinner and appetizer/dessert plates
* Chinet Cut Crystal 9 oz. cups - used both for serving punch and an appetizer salad
* Chinet Cut Crystal cutlery, which comes in a “host-ready” container perfect for easy serving and storage. I also used them as serving utensils for some of the appetizers!
* Chinet Classic White platter
* Chinet Classic White napkins - some were used as drink napkins on the bar, and some on the buffet table, rolled up and decorated with a sparkly ribbon.

The Chinet brand can be found at most major grocers and big-box retailers. Select products also now available at Target.

A Pink and Silver New Year's Eve Party – The Decor

This year I'm crushing hard on pink and silver. Silver is the new gold, and so appropriate for a chic soirée. To complement it, I added hues of pink throughout to add a feminine and glam look to the décor.

Of course, no New Year's Eve bash is complete without balloons, confetti, party hats and plenty of disco balls, so I dotted those around my table and party space. They helped to add color, texture, interest, and shine!

To complete my table décor, I used a silver sequin runner accentuated by fluffy pink chargers for added texture, and a silver vase with pink blooms to bring it all together.

The food was served on pink pedestal cake stands and silver trays to tie in with my color palette, my chic Chinet Cut Crystal products, and to add a little shine to the ensemble!

A Pink and Silver New Year's Eve Party – The Party Menu

Our New Year's Eve party menu consisted of finger food or canapes. I love this type of menu as it's easy to prepare, can be made ahead of time and also looks oh-so gorgeous!

I chose a menu that was simple to prepare, yet delicious and befitting of a chic occasion:

* Prawn cocktail salad revisited, and served in Chinet Cut Crystal 9 oz. cups: For this recipe, place a couple of tablespoons of tomato salsa on the bottom of the cup, top with cooked prawns and finish it off with a dollop of Marie Rose sauce and a sprinkle of smoked paprika and chopped dill.

* Pear, blue cheese and rocket wrapped in Prosciutto: These sweet and savory mouthfuls are super easy to assemble, and I skewered them with a Chinet Cut Crystal fork for easy serving.

* Mini potato fritters with aioli sauce that pack a punch: Serve these delightful bites (mine were store bought to save time) on Chinet Cut Crystal spoons atop a delicious garlic aioli sauce.

* Classic smoked salmon & herb cream cheese appetizers: These make an appearance at every New Year's Eve party I host, and this year was no different! They're a sure crowd-pleaser and require minimal assembly.

* Mini cheese quiches: These are perfect for vegetarians, but non-veggies will also love them! You can make these a couple of days ahead and they also freeze really well. Simply heat them up and serve hot from the oven on the day of the party (they're great at room room temperature too), making it the ideal appetizer!

* For dessert, I served Champagne cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, topped with “clock” macarons.  For the macarons, I used an edible ink pen to draw clock faces on them. There's no simpler or more befitting dessert for New Year's Eve!

* In events like these, I love to make up a large batch cocktail to welcome guests as they arrive. I can make it just before the party starts, guests can help themselves, and it leaves me free to mingle and enjoy the party too! For this occasion, I also served Champagne alongside my Pink Champagne New Year's Eve Punch (recipe below).

Pink Champagne New Year's Eve Punch

Serves 6-8

Ingredients:

* 750 ml bottle of pink Champagne
* 2 cups of pink grapefruit juice
* 1 cup pink lemonade
* 3 cups of cranberry juice
* Optional garnishes: raspberries and grapefruit slices
* Ice

Directions:

In a punchbowl or pitcher, add the juices and lemonade. Top with champagne. Add ice and garnishes just before serving.

You can double or triple the recipe to cater for your number of guests.

Serve this delicious cocktail in Chinet Cut Crystal 9 oz. cups with a DIY silver star drink stirrer. For the drink stirrer, simply hot-glue glitter stars to the end of pink straws. Easy or what?!
