Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate + Peanut Butter Fudge Drink Stirrers
When the weather turns colder, I reach for the hot chocolate. Are you the same? It's the perfect, comforting drink and one of the perks of winter for me!
In fact, it's a tradition this time of year in our house to have a hot chocolate station set up with mugs, toppings and fun treats in our kitchen, ready for when the craving for a mug of hot cocoa hits.
And this year, I've upped the ante on my go-to hot chocolate recipe, with peanut butter!
Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate + Peanut Butter Fudge Drink Stirrers
This decadent, rich, creamy and
delicious peanut butter hot chocolate is perfect for serving at
parties too. Your friends and family will love you for it! ;)
To make this recipe even more special
for the holidays, I added a peanut butter rim to our mugs, topped the
hot chocolate with whipped cream, a peanut butter drizzle, crushed
peanuts and chopped peanut butter chocolate morsels for the win!
I also made scrumptious peanut butter
fudge drink stirrers to accompany our hot chocolates. YUM!
These peanut butter fudge sticks add an
even more delicious peanut butter taste to our drinks, but you could
totally package them up and add it to a hamper or give them out as
party favors or holidays gifts to your guests!
I of course, love to make this
delicious recipe with my kids on a lazy Sunday afternoon, so we can
treat ourselves while watching a holiday movie in front of the
fireplace. There's just no better tradition this time of year, than
to cozy up with your kiddos and a mug of this peanut butter hot
chocolate on the weekend!
Peanut butter is a pantry staple in our
home, and I LOVE to use it in desserts, drinks, and even savory
dishes.
From festive desserts to seasonal
soups, peanut butter is a super versatile and affordable ingredient
that provides a tasty, nutritious boost to all kinds of dishes. I
especially love using it in my cooking during the holiday season to
add bags of flavor!
And apparently, did you know that peanut butter provides eight powerful grams of protein, two grams of filling fiber and 12 grams of unsaturated fat in each two-tablespoon serving? What's not to love?! :)
