So this year, I wanted to bake something tasty, but a lot quicker and simpler too. Something which you could actually bake with the kiddos at home for Halloween.
Therefore, I came up with these delicious Halloween chocolate cupcakes with condensed milk frosting (also known as the most delicious, silky smooth, quick and EASY homemade chocolate frosting EVER) topped with the cutest fondant ghost toppers! 👻
Halloween Chocolate Cupcakes with Fondant Ghost Toppers
Halloween Chocolate Cupcakes
Like I said, this cupcake recipe is mega simple to make - From the chocolate batter to the silky smooth chocolate frosting, it comes together in a flash and tastes AMAZING!
The chocolate cake sponge is my go-to cake sponge, with a dark cocoa addition and a few chocolate chips thrown in for extra chocolatiness.
Halloween Condensed Milk Chocolate Frosting
The condensed milk chocolate frosting is my current favorite! It's flavored with melted chocolate, has a really smooth texture and is not too sweet.
This easy frosting recipe has become one of my favorites to decorate cupcakes and cakes alike!
It holds its shape beautifully when piped, looks so glossy and can be flavored with pretty much any flavor too!
This condensed milk frosting is truly delicious and an all-rounder: It has only 3 ingredients, is as quick and easy to make as an American buttercream (but nowhere near as sweet), and it's also silky smooth as a Swiss meringue buttercream. What's not to love?! 😍
So the kids can totally lend you a hand in the kitchen with this cupcake recipe, which adds to the fun on Halloween! 👻😍
Ghost Fondant Toppers
To decorate the cupcakes you can use any cute Halloween topper or print your own from our Halloween collections here.
For some of the cupcakes, I made the cutest fondant ghosts, which is like playing with food, so the kids will love making them too!
