DIY Rae Dunn Inspired Christmas Tree Ornaments With Printables

DIY Rae Dunn Inspired Christmas Tree Ornaments With Printables - easy, quick recycled ornaments to craft printable gift tags in a farmhouse style!

'Tis the season to craft and be jolly, so today I bring you a super pretty idea to create some cute ornaments for your Christmas tree on a budget.

Yes, we're recycling some supplies and using printables, so NO fancy cutting machine in sight to make these pretty Rae Dunn inspired Christmas tree ornaments!

The original inspiration for these ornaments came from a blog post from the Latina Next Door, and I decided to modify the supplies  a bit to make use of some old jar lids, which helps to upcycle some supplies that would end up in the trash and also cuts the cost quite a bit! 😉

She used mainly Dollar Tree products, but since I don't have Dollar Store near me, I ended up recycling some supplies, so that the cost would still be the same or less than the original tutorial.

I also used printable cut outs that I designed to make these even easier, and some cute Christmas decorations like red berries, pine tree branches and mini pine cones to decorate these ornaments.

You could also upcycle Thrift store ornaments and wreath to use as embellishments, or use natural or foraged little bits and bobs to use as your craft supplies, which is infinitely more fun in my opinion than buying them!

You can spend an afternoon with the kids foraging for these, and then get home to craft some pretty ornaments while listening to Christmas songs and sipping on hot cocoa. Wouldn't that be nice?! 🥰

Crafting as a family, spending time together, being grateful for what God has given us and making the best of it, are just some of my favorite activities to engage during the Christmas season!

Making your own Christmas tree ornaments are of course, a great way to save this time of year, and to update your décor without breaking the bank!

For the printables used in this project, I designed them in two styles: white with black text and black background with white text. There is also a nativity silhouette in the kit. You can download your printables instantly here.

I can see these printables also used a gift tags on presents, and these ornaments would also look super adorable atop your Christmas presents, no? the recipient can then add them to their own Christmas trees as a souvenir!

You can of course also cut the tags as squares and use them as they are to decorate tableware, as cupcake or treat toppers and so many other crafty projects! What would you use them for? let me know your ideas down in the comments! 👍
