A Stunning Red and White Holiday Dinner Party with an Italian Twist !

There's nothing better than celebrating the Holiday Season with an elegant dinner party for friends and family. And this stunning dinner party styled by the fabulously talented Mariah from Giggles Galore, appeals to me on so many levels. Least of all because of my Italian roots and love of all things pasta! :)

Mariah styled this dinner party for Bird's Party Magazine last year, and she used our Winter Wonderland Printables for the tablescape, the pasta buffet and the desserts tables. I just LOVE how she customized the designs with ribbon and glitter sparkle!! ♥

Party Details

This simple, yet elegant dinner was styled using the Winter Wonderland party package from Bird's Party.

It set the tone for a dreamy dinner party ideal for enjoying the holiday's with loved ones.  With all the
hustle and bustle of the holiday season I wanted a simple menu that would allow me to spend more time enjoying my guest than rushing around the kitchen.  I created a Pasta Bar with different types of pasta, sauces and add ins for guest to create their own unique and delicious pasta dishes.

After enjoying a savory dinner guest could indulge in a variety of sweet treats.

Party Decor

I wanted to recreate the feeling of an elegant winter wonderland and choose a white and silver color palette with pops of red to infuse an elegant and modern touch.  I spray painted tree branches white to reflect the wooded winter wonderland and serve as a simple backdrop behind the buffet table.  I also incorporated other natural elements like the silver painted pine cones and red berries.

Even though the menu was simple I wanted to treat guest to an elegant and memorable holiday party.  At the dinner table each place setting included a silver charger with white plates and an elegant silver napkin accented with red berries.  Wine glasses were adorned with custom made wine charms to help guest
keep track of their drinks.  The table setting also included small silver chalkboards as place cards and the editable menu cards informed guest of their dinner choices for the evening.

For the centerpiece I used white deer, silver pine cones and a beautiful white flower arrangement. I covered a vase with coordinating paper and added white roses and red berries and for a classic look. I also made custom chair swags with wide red ribbon and silver spray painted pine cones for an extra special touch.

Party Food

Before dinner guest were served antipasti skewers with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, tortellini pasta and olives.  For dinner guest could create their own unique pasta creations with two varieties of pasta, three sauces and additional veggies, meats and cheeses.  A simple garden salad and french bread rounded out this buffet.

After enjoying a savory meal guest could indulge in a few sweet treats.  Store bought cupcakes became a stunning show stopper with gorgeous cupcake toppers from Edible Details.  Store bought mini cheesecakes were the perfect bite sized treat, while scrumptious white chocolate mousse echoed the elegant winter white theme of the party.  Scrumptious chocolate truffles and decadent cream puffs were the perfect way to end an elegant evening with friends.

Party Fun and Favors

Guest took home beautifully wrapped favor boxes with a gift card to Starbucks and gumball tubes filled with red and pearl  white gumballs.
