Last year, I created a bunch of lemon themed posts here for the blog , but did not have time to style a tablescape. So I decided to style this lemon table this year, with a modern farmhouse vibe and using props and decor I already had at home. I wanted to create an easy table decor that was pretty and fresh, and that would be perfect for any celebration that summer brings, no matter how small. Here are some of my zingy ideas below!
Balloons garlands have been a huge decorative feature on so many parties and events all over Instagram and Pinterest for a few years now, and the trend is still going strong! These balloon garlands just get bigger and better with amazing hues, colors and finishes of balloons and some pretty intricate shapes too. So today I'm sharing with you my quick and easy way to make these fantastic balloon garlands!
As part of our #SocialCircus month, I decided to make a fun DIY Carousel Centerpiece - But one made with party supplies and candy (is there a better kind?!) that anyone may have in the house at the time of the birthday party. So I raided my party shop and grabbed paper plates , candy tubes and dinky striped paper straws . Not forgetting the adorable Circus printables , and my trusty glue gun of course! ;) This cute carousel centerpiece would be fun as a birthday desserts table candy dish , kids table decoration or even a fun party activity (minus the hot glue!). It's easy to make, quick and inexpensive too!

These homemade crayons make for really fun, and economical party favors for any age, and it's a great use for all those broken up crayons lying around the house! ;) I made them for my kid's Big Top Circus birthday party to accompany some handmade coloring books . But you can adapt the tutorial to s uit any party theme, just change the molds! !
As you probably know, my kiddies were born on the same day (two years apart) and as such, their birthdays are always somewhat a challenging affair...Moms of twins with be nodding in agreement at this point ;) But I'm soooo happy (and relieved) that this year, we all collectively decided on a " Big Top Circus" birthday party theme - What's not to like?! It's a really classic, fun and colorful theme, plus it's totally suited for any age group... BUT I think what reeeeally "sealed the deal" for my kids, was the promise of a few carnival games as party activities ! ;) This is how it all turned out...
