When I was fourteen, my school organized a crafts sale, and we had to make all sorts of handmade decor items to sell, including scented candles. We made star-shaped candles, triangular candles, round candles...they smelled sooooo good and I was hooked for life! On candles. Candle-making is one of my favorite crafts ever! So today I'm more than a tad excited to share my latest DIY candles with you - Easter Egg candles! 😍
Last year I styled a super pretty Easter tablescape complete with a DIY floral table runner . So this year I wanted to change things up a bit, and keep things a little more casual and low-key. I still wanted pretty table mind, but one that was much quicker and easier to style. You know, something that would appeal to all you busy bunnies out there?! 😉 You may have seen sneak peeks of this table over on my Instagram stories in the last few days, so here's the finished article!

Not only because of it's so tasty with its creamy chocolate ganache and fun, bright orange color, but because it's also super simple to make. Easter is 'round the corner and as promised in my last post , today' I'll be sharing a delicious, savory cake recipe that's perfect for your brunch! This is not a novel idea. My mom has been making savory cakes for years, with chicken, Spring vegetables, tuna etc. But this smoked salmon version is perfect for Easter brunch, don't you think?!
This year for Easter, we styled a super pretty floral brunch that's fresh and colorful, but also easy to put together. Last year we had a mimosa bar as part of our Easter brunch ( you can see it here ). It was such a hit with everyone, that this year I'm still going the self-service bar for brunch. But with waffles! The cute bunnies from our traditional Easter Printable Kit are the perfect match for this "Hoppy Easter" styling. I like that's it's not too girly, since my boy wouldn't approve anyways ;)
Bunny and Easter eggs crafts are not in shortage on Pinterest . But I tend to seek out EASY craft and DIY ideas that kids can help to make...or something that I can put in a ' craft kit' format for parties, like for Easter brunch. And this year, I'm giving the kiddos these cute DIY Easter Bunny candy tube kits so we can all have fun making crafting cuteness at Easter!
As promised in my last post, today I'm sharing a recipe for your Easter Brunch today that's super easy, quick and delicious! The beauty is that it can be made the night before , and baked just before brunch on Sunday. Perfect served cold too for Spring and summer picnics!
Easter for us is brunch. It's a tradition. Whether we have guests over or not. And for me, brunch is all about relaxed entertaining . Taking time to enjoy those around the table, and just be be present, together on this special period of the year.

And for Easter brunch, a Mimosa Bar is ideal to suit all - The healthy folks, the moms, the kids (minus the champers 'course..), the dads and the cocktail lovers like moi. I spent my childhood in Rio, and over there juices are sacred. It's always hot and naturally, fridges are always full of homemade juices; 3 or more tropical fruit flavors at a time. All made from the pure fruits, water and sugar . They're not that hard to make and taste beyond amazing!
