Come January and we're all trying to eat healthier and shed all those extra pounds gained over the Holidays, right? But we're also in winter and comfort food is a necessity...and I don't see nothing wrong with treating yourself to a slice (or two) of pizza on the weekend 😉 Especially if you make a few healthier twists along the way to make sure you can enjoy this popular snack, guilt-free !
It seems like Christmas has just passed...but us party lovers never sit still, despite our best efforts. There's always something to celebrate, right?! And that's the way we 💗 it! So here we are, in full prep for our Valentine's Day party magazine to launch real soon! And if you want to be a part of it showcasing your talents, shops or blogs , then you've come to the right place! 😉
Silver Snowflake Winter Party Ideas
Happy New Year, party friends! It's been a while since I last posted, but after all the end-of year celebrations, come January and I feel all partied out! Are you the same? Anyways, we gotta get motivated somehow...and although winter is not my fav, there's still ways we can make the most of these cold months - hello hot toddy and homemade marshmallows ! 😉
DIY Glitter Baubles Ornament Place-Card Holders
As part of my green and gold Christmas Holiday tablescape , I made these cute DIY glitter ornaments to act as place-card holders on my party table. They helped add a little shimmer and sparkle to each place-setting, and were SO easy and quick to make! I made them the night before the party. Just shows you can create something special and last-minute, without much effort. And THAT is my fav kind of craft!! 😉
Roast Pork with Herb & Mustard Crust Recipe
My favorite part of the Christmas Holidays is cooking and baking well into the New Year. It's my way of showing my family and friends how much I love them. I feed, therefore I love 😋 But I also like putting my feet up and enjoy their company, so I tend to go for big batch recipes, stuff I can make ahead or easy bang-it-in-the-oven-and-forget-about-it type of recipes. Hence this tasty Christmas roast pork with a gorgeous herbs and mustard crust, which I served at my Christmas meal last year!
Green & Gold Christmas Holiday Tablescape
I styled this green and gold Christmas Holiday party last year, but never got a chance to show it here on the blog. But I'm glad to be sharing now, 'cause apparently the 2017 Pantone color of the year is green (or greenery), so we're bang on trend! 😉 This was one of the easiest table decor styling or tablescapes I've ever done. My sister was coming over from London for Christmas, and I wanted to create homely, cozy atmosphere for our family dinner.
Sparkling Citrus Holiday Sangria Recipe
When it come to Holiday entertaining, it's always a great idea to serve a big-batch punch or signature cocktail that your guests can get stuck into straight away. Something that involves little effort, and maximum satisfaction is my motto. So for my Silver & Blue Cocktail and Appetizers party I shared earlier in the week, I did just that. Serving up a batch cocktail like this means you can prep it in advance and just forget about it, which in turn leaves you free to mingle and enjoy the party! Something we tend to forget sometimes at parties we host ourselves (sound familiar?) 😉
