Admittedly, I don't decorate much for fall. Being a blogger, come September, my mind is already thinking to Christmas (crazy, I know), so fall decor per se consists of a few autumn-scented candles dotted around the house. That's it! This year though, I wanted to up my fall decor game with a pretty wreath or two, which are also perfect for decorating any space in the home for Thanksgiving!

For my Dia de Los Muertos dinner part , I made delicious Mexican Almond Horchata to serve to my guests alongside our fun sugar skull cookies (recipe for the cookies here). Horchata is a delicious, non-alcoholic drink that is perfect for the whole family and ideal for fall entertaining! It's traditionally served cold over ice, but my kids love it as a warm drink on cold days!
My obsession with these cookie cakes started this summer when I made my very first cookie cake in the shape of a pineapple . Since then, I've been dreaming up other fun shapes to create, hence today's Jack-O'-Lantern inspired Halloween cookie cake! This cookie cake is SO easy to make and combines the best of both cookie and cake worlds - buttery shortbread cookies, sandwiched together with chocolate cream cheese frosting, topped with ridiculous amounts of candy. Well, it is Halloween after all! 🎃🍬👻
