This year I'm inspired by all things Monster High for Halloween (mainly 'cause I have a little fan at home...). So much so, that together with some of my fave party and food bloggers; we put together a huge and totally SPOOK-takular spread in the Fall issue of Bird's Party Magazine - with decorated cookies, cake pops, cupcakes and sparkly party ideas inspired by the Monster High vibe!
Don't know about you, but after I spend all my time creatively constructing my kids (x2) / dog's / husband's Halloween outfits, I'm spent! So when it comes to my own Halloween costume, and despite being a handmade advocate; I always tend to gravitate toward the opposite end of the DIY spectrum with the super easy and quick outfits. Why buy when you can DIY - that's my motto in life. So naturally, I turned to my paintbrushes when creating this large wall art canvas for my new studio bar . I wanted something big, abstract and eye catching to hang as a focal point.

Hello my pretties!! I'm currently working on Bird's Party EU SHOP lookbook, and Pinterest is one of my first calls for inspiration. But then it doomed on me (sorry, it's the Halloween vibe coming through..) that there' are sooo many complicated and time-consuming ideas and crafts out there... ain't nobody got time for that! Hello sweet friends ! Happy to be back with my batteries fully charged for what looks like will be a cray-cray season ahead! Thankfully I spent some time chillaxing at this magical place ...which is handy seen the size of my to-do list already ! Between stocking the shop with some exciting new party goodies (can't wait to share!), prepping a Christmas edition with Créative magazine , organizing three creative workshops in October, not to mention some fun projects with PBS Parents ; the next few months are chock-a-block!!

I have to say, these bread sticks look a little realistic... But I can also assure you they taste absolutely scrumptious, and totally helped to make the Halloween Chili Buffet a hit! So much so in fact, that when I asked my daughter "What would you like to do for Halloween this year? " (meaning costume...), she replied without a moment's hesitation - "Witch Bread Fingers!" :)
