Hey party-lovers, just finished our 4th of July shoot, and I can't wait to show you!! But today, I'm joining Clinton Kelly again to share a super fun but mega EASY 4th of July party photo booth idea I created for the event! And anything that involves giant balloons is a winner in my party book ;)

Party trends come and go. Fact. But confetti and balloons will remain forever classics.  At least as far as my parties are concerned... But the way we use and present them will vary to suit season, taste and occasion. For instance. confetti poppers are literally popping everywhere. From weddings, to sweet sixteen parties or bridal showers. 

My Mother's Day Color POP tablescape was inspired by pompoms.  And I can tell you we pompom-ed the heck out of everything. And I mean, E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. Turns out pompoms are really versatile.  Think napkin rings, cute gift and favor packaging embellishments, headbands, jewelry...and even fridge magnets ! I LOVE the idea of decorative place-setting decor that also double-duties as a practical favor!

If you follow the blog for a while, you'll know how much I LOVE paper and handmade party decorations . It's my jam!  I'm always asking myself if I can make it first, before I decide to buy... So you can imagine how giddy I was when Brother got in touch asking me to create something fun using their P-touch label maker !! I also did a happy dance when they offered to giveaway one of the machines away here on the blog! :)

If you follow along on Instagram, you would have seen a sneaky peek of this Emoji inspired DIY back in February, when I had the light bulb idea of turning these printable Emojifest toppers into funky eggs for Easter! When testing the idea, I actually gave my husband a little fright when he opened the egg carton box to make omelet for lunch :D

Following on from yesterday's Santa inspired post, I thought I'd share the DIY for the cupcakes I made to match my  Christmas Candyland desserts table . I used sugar paste f ondant and printable toppers to decorate the cupcakes.  It's not rocket science - more like playing with modelling clay! :)

My seven year old daughter helped me with these ( you can see her little hands in the photos, bless ) and they are perfect to entertain little ones over the Holiday period.  

I'm not usually a huge fan of football (soccer) but something about the World Cup that just makes me wanna watch, party and cheer. We've always held world cup match watching celebrations in our family since I was a child, so I guess it's tradition now. Especially since this year it's been held in Brazil!! Talk about fun overload, right?! :) So all this week I'll be sharing some creative party ideas inspired by the beautiful game, and its   world cup host country!! So you can expect a touch of samba, a pinch of folia and lots of fun on the 'menu'! ;)

As part of our #SocialCircus month, I decided to make a fun  DIY Carousel Centerpiece - But one made with party supplies and candy (is there a better kind?!) that anyone may have in the house at the time of the birthday party. So I raided my party shop and grabbed  paper plates ,  candy tubes and dinky striped paper straws . Not forgetting the adorable  Circus printables , and my trusty glue gun of course! ;) This cute carousel centerpiece would be fun as a birthday desserts table candy dish , kids table decoration or even a fun party activity (minus the hot glue!). It's easy to make, quick and inexpensive too!

What pops in your head when you see the words gumball + necklace in the same sentence?  Gumball necklace, did you say? Yep, you guessed. I'll take edible jewelry over diamonds any day!  These gumball necklaces make the perfect last minute gift, party favor or class activity for Valentine's Day. Package them in super dinky favor box , and you have the perfect little treat for your sweet Valentine, your BFFs, or yourself! ;)

For my Valentine's Day shoot , I wanted a giant balloon as my table backdrop. But the balloon cord looked naked and boring, so I decided to jazz it up with some tissue paper tassels . Tissue paper tassels are all the rage in the party world, and have been for a while now, but they are new to me in the sense that I only used them once before. And for this occasion, I didn't have time to order any nor buy tissue paper to make them myself. All I had was crepe paper left over from this shoot . So, what's a party gal to do? Yes, make do, of course! ;) I wasn't sure if was even gonna work...but guess what?! Crepe paper has hidden talents!! Full tutorial below.
