Tiramisu is one of my all time favorite desserts. I come from an Italian background, so there's no surprise there ;) But because autumn rhymes with pumpkin and cinnamon errything , I decided to add a little twist to my classic recipe. I say classic, but really it's far from it, 'cause for my usual Tiramisu I use cinnamon cookies instead of the traditional ladyfingers. I adore cinnamon just a much as pumpkins. And coffee. So it was a no-brainer, really!

Confession time: Despite my love of parties, I never go OTT on costumes for Halloween. And I hate those shop-bought "monstrosities" costumes that you only wear once. But I DO like dressing the part for any party or celebration. So I tend to opt for some funky tee-shirts, crazy tights, makeup or a little black dress ( like in this post ). And almost every time, I reach our for animal ear headbands to complete the look (the mean girls "I'm a mouse, duh!" phrase comes to mind...).

Okay, so black electrical tape has become one of my fav go-to crafty materials lately. You may have seen the striped boxes I create for my office here ? Well, I was so inspired, that I decided to spook-up my Halloween party balloons using black electrical tape! They are perfect as party decorations, but also make fun photo booths or even as part of a funky costume.
Toffee apples take me right back to childhood. I remember walking past the sweet stands selling them at carnivals and country fairs, and I always pestered my mom to buy them. I totally favored these over cotton candy every time! And autumn is the perfect time to make these delicious, crunchy toffee apples at home. Forget bobbing for apples, toffee apples is where it's at! ;) Oh, and did I mention it's super easy too? I love them even more now!
Usually I hate it when summer ends, but this year summer has been so intense, that I really welcomed Fall with open arms! Plus, it's another great opportunity to get back in the kitchen and bake some treats, without fear of putting the oven on.

Hello my pretties!! I'm currently working on Bird's Party EU SHOP lookbook, and Pinterest is one of my first calls for inspiration. But then it doomed on me (sorry, it's the Halloween vibe coming through..) that there' are sooo many complicated and time-consuming ideas and crafts out there... ain't nobody got time for that! So I thought I'd step out of my usual pinspired route and see what I could find/create in a jiffy and inexpensively, using every-day party goodies. Hopefully it shows that it doesn't really take much time (or skill) to create a boo-tiful display ;)
