According to Wikipedia, " Hygge is a Danish and Norwegian word for a mood of coziness and comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment. " This meaning is exactly what I was lookin for when I styled this table. This feeling of effortless comfort and coziness that our Scandinavian friends are so good at re-creating, is something that really appeals to me at this time of year!

This year, Christmas may look a more scaled-down and different, but that doesn't mean we can't set up a pretty, cozy table to celebrate and give thanks for all the blessings we have in our lives! Am I right?! 🙏 So, I have opted for quite a relaxed, fuss-free style this year, with lots of natural wood touches to create a modern, neutral farmhouse Christmas tablescape . I love pink and have already styled a pink and copper Christmas tablescape a few years ago ( you can see it here ). But since the pink, plum and gold color combination seems to be very trendy this year, I could not resist! So this year I opted for a palette of blush pink mixed in with burgundy or plum tones and a sprinkling of gold. For Christmases past, I've done  modern monochromatic , trendy millennial  and  golden chic for my table decorations. So this year, I wanted to create something a little more traditional, and was inspired by tartan or plaid for my table design. I styled this green and gold Christmas Holiday party last year, but never got a chance to show it here on the blog.
