Hello my pretties!!  I'm currently working on  Bird's Party EU SHOP  lookbook, and Pinterest is one of my first calls for inspiration. But then it doomed on me (sorry, it's the Halloween vibe coming through..) that there' are sooo many complicated and time-consuming ideas and crafts out there... ain't nobody got time for that! So I thought I'd step out of my usual pinspired route and see what I could find/create in a  jiffy and inexpensively, using every-day party goodies.  Hopefully it shows that it doesn't really take much time (or skill) to create a boo-tiful display ;)

The weekend is upon us, and there's nothing I love more than to plan some funky meals to enjoy with my family and friends .  Recently, I watched a science documentary, featuring several studies that showed that a diet heavily based on red meat is not really the best thing for us. Ever since, we've been making a conscious effort to cook more and more meatless dishes at home. But I have to say, our repertoire wasn't great. I mean, sometimes you've gotta go beyond chicken and fish to keep your taste buds guessing, right?!

Hello sweet  friends ! Happy to be back with my batteries fully charged for what looks like will be a cray-cray season ahead! Thankfully I spent some time chillaxing at this magical place ...which is handy seen the size of my to-do list  already !  Between   stocking   the shop with some exciting new party goodies (can't wait to share!), prepping a Christmas edition with Créative magazine ,  organizing   three creative workshops in October, not to mention some fun projects with PBS Parents ;  the next few months are  chock-a-block!! 

Don't know about you, but after school snacks are one of my fave meals of the day. For me it's the time to catch up with the kiddos after a long day, and find out what they've been up to at school. So they also need to be fun. And of course healthy. And not fill them up too much so they don't eat dinner.  Quite a few boxes to tick for a humble snack, huh?! So prepping is essential. And I've selected some funky recipes to help make after school snack life a breeze. 

Just because summer is ending, doesn't mean we have to wait until the next Holiday to celebrate. Any excuse for a party, you say?! Too right! In my book you can never have too many parties! But I also don't want anything fussy or formal. So Pinterest has come to the rescue once again. Here are my top 5 fave ideas to make the best of those last days of summer sunshine and warmth , and frankly; to just chill out in good company!

Photo source Because yesterday we were talking bar styling , then naturally today's post had to include drinks and recipes. After all, no self-respecting party bar is complete without pretty libations?!  Here are some of my faves, handpicked for their awesome taste but also good look s, 'cause we all know we eat (or drink) with our eyes first. I'm particularly digging all the recipes that contain some sort of herb: thyme, mint, lavender, rosemary ...to make use of my garden bounty this summer! Looks super funky too!!

No, sir!  And we're still making the most of our sunny days by eating and drinking al fresco as much as possible. So bar styling has become a necessity really. They're so practical and can look totally awesome for any occasion.

These book label can be used to personalize school books, homework diaries, but also lunch boxes, pencil cases, back packs, favor bags and more. And you can  type in the text you want!

After I designed yesterday's freebie pencil-shaped bookmarks , I couldn't help but think the designs would make a super cute party box!  My kids LOVED the box so much, and I'm thinking it's the perfect gift box for teacher gifts too (fill it with chalk, candy, pencils...), and of course a back to school party favor box! I'm the person who used to dread seeing Halloween stuff in the shops in August. But due to the nature of my job, things have changed a little, and planning that far ahead is a necessity...Having said that, I'm never quite ready to see winter sweaters for sale in July! And certainly never ready to say goodbye to summer. Ever.  But I also know that it's inevitable, and some people have no choice but to start planning for back to school now.
