Last year we went with a pink and sparkly palette for New Year , but this year I fancied a little classic black and white New Year's Eve arty decor with a touch of gold and French chic!  I so hope gold, chic and shiny things will continue to show up not only in our party tables in 2015, but also in all areas of life! Ho ho hope you're having a great start to the Holidays! :p I personally LOVE the few days leading up to Christmas! All the excitement of counting the days, making sure all the shopping is done, halls are decked, presents are wrapped....honestly, it's a party-gal's dream. Crazy busy. But that's just the way we like it!! Christmas is 'round the corner! Can you believe it?!  One of my favorite traditions in our house, is the Christmas themed breakfast . Whether on Christmas eve, a few days before or Christmas morning itself, going all out this time of year to treat the little ones is all part of the joy! Most week days it's our schedules and 'routine' breakfast rituals that take over. And since kids wake up at silly o' clock at Christmas anyways, you might a swell roll with it! Plus, it's also nice for me to prepare something a little more special and magical for my little elves ;) 

Following on from yesterday's Santa inspired post, I thought I'd share the DIY for the cupcakes I made to match my  Christmas Candyland desserts table . I used sugar paste f ondant and printable toppers to decorate the cupcakes.  It's not rocket science - more like playing with modelling clay! :)

If you follow me on Instagram , you'd have seen a few sneak peeks of these cute Santa cake pops , and today I'm sharing the easy step-by-step tutorial. My seven year old daughter helped me with these ( you can see her little hands in the photos, bless ) and they are perfect to entertain little ones over the Holiday period.

Being in charge of Thanksgiving dinner can seem like a daunting task. Even for the most discerning hostess. Between cooking the perfect turkey, the gravy, the stuffing, or setting the perfect table...the to-do list can seem endless! But the key is to prep as much as you can in advance. And ask for help! So in the spirit of sharing, I've compiled a collection of recipes to help you on your way  - Including several turkey recipe ideas, sides, condiments, desserts and treats  (making my mouth water already...).

“Where’d you get those awesome Christmas cards?” is one of the things we all love to hear after choosing, creating and sending Christmas cards each year, right?! ;) And the answer (for me, at least!) is always Pear Tree. The cards that everyone loves the most are usually their unique holiday photo cards that have special interactive features like their new spinner cards, or picture frame cards .  They may have multiple pages like their photo book cards , or unusual shapes like the ornament cards . And any card with a ribbon or real gold foil automatically gets my thumbs up for awesomeness! ♥

Last year we did a round up of gorgeous tablescape for Thanksgiving , so this year we're sharing some fun party ideas for the kids table.  This stunning Thanksgiving party was featured first on Bird's Party Magazine a while back, and styled by Alexandra from Enchanted Events and Designs. The idea is to make the Thanksgiving kids table inviting enough so the kids will  want to sit put. For a little while at least... So crafts, activities and practical but FUN decorations are a must!

When  life gives you lemons, sometimes is hard to think about making lemonade.  Especially when what you reeeally wanted to begin with, was a huge slice of comforting lemon meringue pie :) If my sweet analogy doesn't really cut the lemon curd (sorry...pun intended.), what I'm trying to say is; we don't always get what we want . Stuff happens. But most certainly, there's always, ALWAYS, something to be thankful for!

Hello my pretties!!  I'm currently working on  Bird's Party EU SHOP  lookbook, and Pinterest is one of my first calls for inspiration. But then it doomed on me (sorry, it's the Halloween vibe coming through..) that there' are sooo many complicated and time-consuming ideas and crafts out there... ain't nobody got time for that! So I thought I'd step out of my usual pinspired route and see what I could find/create in a  jiffy and inexpensively, using every-day party goodies.  Hopefully it shows that it doesn't really take much time (or skill) to create a boo-tiful display ;)

The weekend is upon us, and there's nothing I love more than to plan some funky meals to enjoy with my family and friends .  Recently, I watched a science documentary, featuring several studies that showed that a diet heavily based on red meat is not really the best thing for us. Ever since, we've been making a conscious effort to cook more and more meatless dishes at home. But I have to say, our repertoire wasn't great. I mean, sometimes you've gotta go beyond chicken and fish to keep your taste buds guessing, right?!

This beautiful baby shower styled by my friend Katelyn from Events by Kate, provides the perfect theme for a Fall baby shower celebrating the 'nesting mommy' and baby! Hello sweet  friends ! Happy to be back with my batteries fully charged for what looks like will be a cray-cray season ahead! Thankfully I spent some time chillaxing at this magical place ...which is handy seen the size of my to-do list  already !  Between   stocking   the shop with some exciting new party goodies (can't wait to share!), prepping a Christmas edition with Créative magazine ,  organizing   three creative workshops in October, not to mention some fun projects with PBS Parents ;  the next few months are  chock-a-block!!
