With weddings season upon us, and all matter of summer celebrations on the horizon, I decided to embark on creating some fun DIY custom text balloons using vinyl , and I loved it! Personalized text bubble balloons seem to be everywhere these days , and I love the idea of customizing giant latex balloons to make any party feel a little more special.  There are number of ways that you can make giant balloons personal to your party theme, and adding your own custom text is the quickest and easiest way to create a bespoke look inexpensively for any event!

It's SO amazing how good it feels to take a couple of days off (properly) to enjoy cooking, eating and just taking it easy!

I wish Pinterest was around when I got married.  The amount of fun DIY inspiration and creative ideas...oh my! No matter how little or how much you're actually doing yourself, nothing beats getting stuck in, hands on. If nothing else, simply to have a keepsake or fun memory of something made with love, by you!  And being able to say in years to come - "Oh this?! I made it!" ;)

You probably have seen the cute tea candles I used in the latest wedding story for HGTV here. So today I thought I'd share the tutorial step-by-step on how I made those. I used melt-and-pour wax, which makes for a super simple process, and anyone can do it (NOT for kids though, as it involves hot wax!)

As part of my recent wedding story for HGTV , I got to play with spray paint and create my very own mini pedestal stands. I had found some vintage pink saucers in a flea marked, and all I needed was to spray paint some ceramic candlesticks to match.  I have to say I was hooked - Not only was it easy to make, so pretty, but also way more inexpensive than buying individual stands. Now I have all sorts of plans for making larger DIY ceramic cake and cupcake stand - So watch this space! ;)

I recently worked on another super fun shoot for HGTV (hope to share details soon!) and had some leftover materials and a burst of inspiration (not to mention a bunch of glass yogurt pots I had been collection for yonks...). This is how these pink, glittered, candle cuties came to be. They'd be perfect for those lazy summer evenings - Imagine how they'd flicker and glisten on your tabletops or patios.
