I think this original edible decoration  from Belle Cake Topper and Mould would make a great alternative to sugar paste fondant, and would look so whimsical on top of a cake or cupcake, don't you think? :)

It's Mardi Gras  tomorrow and in the UK and France there's a nice tradition where we eat pancakes or crêpes ...and I thought our  FREE   printable party tags would look really cute on top of a home-made pancake cake (recipe here)!

I (Crissy) had a small surprise tea party for my girls to celebrate  Valentine's Day . My oldest daughter's  birthday is on Valentine's day so most of the time we overlook Valentine's Day. This year was different, we had a Valentine's party for their girlfriends but I wanted to do something just for us!  Hope you enjoy, and can find some last minute inspiration for your own Valentine's Day Celebrations !

For every party I plan, I always try to find sweets that are easy, fast and economical !  This ("macaron") sweet treat is super easy to make, and would be great for any party or celebration. Hi guys, this past week has been a really hard one for me and my family as you all know, but I hope to get back to my regular blogging schedule from now and start sharing some fun posts with you again - Work and blogging keep my mind occupied, keep me sane, and it's a needed therapy and great "distraction" for me...

This is my first post of 2012 here at Bird's Party .  I (Haniela) know we are only in the middle of January  but my head is spinning with  new exciting ideas for this year - I'm thinking Mother's Day, Summer, and even Fall. I can't wait to share some of  my new recipes and baking tips   with you as I hope stop by here more frequently. I promise!
