My Mother's Day Color POP tablescape was inspired by pompoms.  And I can tell you we pompom-ed the heck out of everything. And I mean, E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. Turns out pompoms are really versatile.  Think napkin rings, cute gift and favor packaging embellishments, headbands, jewelry...and even fridge magnets ! I LOVE the idea of decorative place-setting decor that also double-duties as a practical favor!

If you follow the blog for a while, you'll know how much I LOVE paper and handmade party decorations . It's my jam!  I'm always asking myself if I can make it first, before I decide to buy... So you can imagine how giddy I was when Brother got in touch asking me to create something fun using their P-touch label maker !! I also did a happy dance when they offered to giveaway one of the machines away here on the blog! :)

If you follow along on Instagram, you would have seen a sneaky peek of this Emoji inspired DIY back in February, when I had the light bulb idea of turning these printable Emojifest toppers into funky eggs for Easter! When testing the idea, I actually gave my husband a little fright when he opened the egg carton box to make omelet for lunch :D

I love DIY party favors . Especially the cute but quickie kind! And I often turn to candy, or some variation on the theme...And St Patrick's Day is no different. Take a candy tube, some color appropriate green gumballs , add a dash of cuteness with free printables and voila! Instant favors that will charm the lucky pants off any leprechaun! ;)

Following on from yesterday's Santa inspired post, I thought I'd share the DIY for the cupcakes I made to match my  Christmas Candyland desserts table . I used sugar paste f ondant and printable toppers to decorate the cupcakes.  It's not rocket science - more like playing with modelling clay! :)

I'm not usually a huge fan of football (soccer) but something about the World Cup that just makes me wanna watch, party and cheer. We've always held world cup match watching celebrations in our family since I was a child, so I guess it's tradition now. Especially since this year it's been held in Brazil!! Talk about fun overload, right?! :) So all this week I'll be sharing some creative party ideas inspired by the beautiful game, and its   world cup host country!! As part of our #SocialCircus month, I decided to make a fun  DIY Carousel Centerpiece - But one made with party supplies and candy (is there a better kind?!) that anyone may have in the house at the time of the birthday party. So I raided my party shop and grabbed  paper plates ,  candy tubes and dinky striped paper straws . Not forgetting the adorable  Circus printables , and my trusty glue gun of course! ;) This cute carousel centerpiece would be fun as a birthday desserts table candy dish , kids table decoration or even a fun party activity (minus the hot glue!). It's easy to make, quick and inexpensive too!

For my Valentine's Day shoot , I wanted a giant balloon as my table backdrop. But the balloon cord looked naked and boring, so I decided to jazz it up with some tissue paper tassels . Tissue paper tassels are all the rage in the party world, and have been for a while now, but they are new to me in the sense that I only used them once before. And for this occasion, I didn't have time to order any nor buy tissue paper to make them myself. All I had was crepe paper left over from this shoot . So, what's a party gal to do? Yes, make do, of course! ;) I wasn't sure if was even gonna work...but guess what?! Crepe paper has hidden talents!! Full tutorial below.

For the  Lego party shoot , I had no time to bake a Lego head cake (as I originally wanted ..), so printables came to the rescue once again. I think the bunting idea turned out super cute, which just shows that sometimes less really is more! ;)

Lego bricks and building blocks rule our roost. My son literally has boxes of the stuff, and so for our Lego Inspired Party week , I decided it would be cool to make use of some of them as place-card holders.  At first, I thought it would require some drilling, but it turns out it was even simpler! My love affair with candles started when I was 14. We had to make crafty thing to sell at the school Christmas bazaar, and a candle-making workshop was where it all kicked off. Since then, I try to make my own if I can, like this one here and here . But making candles from scratch is not always possible..so I cheat a little by embellishing the candle holder itself. With a little imagination, anyone can create really amazing bespoke candles. And no, you do not need to be a seasoned crafter either! ;) These candles would be perfect for cozy dinner party tables or winter weddings!
