These Plush Flowers, believe it or not; are made from paper napkins and super quick to make too! They are a variation on my plush fabric flowers that I shared here . Don't they just look so cute?! AND they do not require any sewing , nor a lot of time - The idea came to me when styling our recent Easter Garden Party . I really wanted to use pastel colored plush flowers, but did not have the time nor disposition to get out my sewing kit, and wondered if the technique would work with paper. I used to think that soups are reserved for winter months only. But my husband convinced me otherwise with some of his delicious spring soup flavors, like this gorgeous watercress soup that also happens to be gluten-free and vegan! Truth be told, I'm not really a soup kinda gal...but this watercress soup is so yummy (and my favorite of all!) that I had to share it here in the blog! Plus, it's green color means it would be ideal as part of a St Patrick's Day dinner party menu, or served in mini cups for a dainty appetizer this Spring or Easter!

I have been meaning to post these photos for a loooong time now, but so many things have happened since the party (back in September) including a computer break down...that I only got the chance now! Hey party friends, hope you had a fabulous Easter weekend! For me, it was a relaxed affair with the family and lots of chocolate ;) but also a time reflect and enjoy the little things in life. It's SO amazing how good it feels to take a couple of days off (properly) to enjoy cooking, eating and just taking it easy!
I love to bake and lately I've been having a lot of fun in the kitchen coming up with easy recipes that involve only a few ingredients, supplies and produce that I already have in my pantry, store-cupboard or fridge. Current times oblige, right? 😉 This is how this classic English trifle with store-cupboard ingredients and frozen raspberries was born! Initially, I planned to make the trifle with strawberries, but the stores had run out of berries 🤷♀️ so my husband suggested I use frozen raspberries instead.
