On with our Brazilian food week, today I bring you an easy to make savory appetizer that also packs a ton of flavor! Kibbe (also kibe or kibbeh) originally a Middle-Eastern dish brought to Brazil by immigrants, but now it's been thoroughly embedded in Brazilian culture and cuisine, so you always find at parties, bars, restaurants...it's become one of their most popular dishes! And it's a perfect appetizer or snack when you're watching the Olympic Games in Rio this year! ;)
Following on from my posts last week on styling a Hot Cocoa Bar here and here , I thought it would really be handy to share a recipe on how to make l Homemade Marshmallows ! ;) I know you may be thinking - "Why the heck would I want to make my own marshmallows" - Well, I thought that too...BEFORE I made them!! The taste for starters, is beyond dreamy (and quite addictive). Plus, it's a real fun thing to make (with or without kids). AND if that wasn't enough to convince you, making your own marshmallows means you can color them and cut them in any shape you like to match your party theme and colors perfectly! ;)

Mainly because of all the the wonderful produce in season this time of year, and the tasty treats we bake (and eat) with them, of course! 😉 Our apple trees were covered in fruit these past few weeks, and it has been a real treat, I tell ya! We've had apple pies, apple crumbles, apple compotes and even apple chips baked in the oven and covered in cinnamon. YUM! Since we've been sharing some wedding ideas in the last couple of weeks, I thought I'd post these flower pot cupcakes, since they'd be perfect for any wedding or bridal shower you may be planning! My go-to chocolate chip cupcakes are baked directly in small clay pots, then topped with a simple buttercream tinted green to give the illusion of grass, and crowned with handmade sugar paste edible flowers!
