Summer's officially here, and it's SOOOO good to finally get our bikinis and sunglasses out of storage, right?! 😎 Of course, it's also time to brush up on our cocktails for all those fab summer parties! And we're kicking off our summer of delicious libations with this refreshing, and oh-so-easy-to-make watermelon daiquiri cocktail!
Strawberry and Cream Layer Cake
Strawberries have been on my mind and plate lately, and I'm not complaining! They're one of my favorite fruits and so versatile in jams, desserts, drinks and appetizers alike! Of course, one of the classic ways to serve strawberries is with a big bowl of cream! So to crown our strawberry season in style, I decided to bake up a storm with this easy but oh-so pretty strawberry and cream layer cake !
Strawberries and Cream Popsicles Recipe
Thank you Brawny® Tear-A-Square® for sponsoring this post. Think of all the ways you can Put a Square There! Popsicles are one of those recipes that is super easy to make, but feels like a real treat every time. My kids love to eat fruit, but turning their favorite fruits or fruit juices into popsicles instantly turns me into super-mom in their eyes! Bonus points if I can actually turn a dessert into a popsicle, like I did with these strawberries and cream popsicles!
Summer is finally here, and we're kicking off the season with a refreshing raspberry Mojito ! This recipe is great to make with any seasonal fruit, but I just happened to have some raspberries handy and so here we are! This raspberry Mojito comes together is a flash, so you won't have too much trouble playing bartender at your next event. But, if you want to make this cocktail ahead of time for a crowd, you can too! Check out my suggestions below.
I've been making this Brazilian passion fruit mousse recipe on repeat this summer. It's SO delicious, refreshing, very quick and easy to make, and only has 3 ingredients! What's not to love? 😉 It's a favorite with my whole family, and it's the ideal dessert to finish off any summer meal, dinner party or to serve at a tropical themed soiree this season!
Ice cream season is here and we're all screaming for ice cream in our house! 😁 So I couldn't pass up the chance to turn one of my favorite cookies or biscuits into ice cream, hence this No-Churn Biscoff Cookie ice cream! I've discovered the Belgian Speculoos cookies or Biscoff as it's known in the US, when I moved to France, and I have been hooked ever since! And this super easy ice cream is the perfect way to use up your favorite cookies to whip up a delicious summer dessert in no time at all and without an ice cream machine!
Cherries are in season and I couldn't pass up the chance of making a delicious dessert with them, hence this NO-Bake cherry cheesecake that comes together in a flash and tastes SO delicious! We're so lucky to live in cherry country and have some wild cherries growing on our land, so my kids and I always love to go cherry picking this time of year (before the birds eat them all), and making dessert using cherries at the end of the day, is just the cherry on the "cake" so to speak! 😄
Homemade Strawberry Lemonade
Strawberries are in season and there's nothing more refreshing and delicious to make with fresh strawberries than homemade strawberry lemonade ! I used some organic lemons in this recipe too, and it was so quick and easy to make! This strawberry lemonade is the perfect drink to serve on Mother's Day or for any summer celebration!
No Bake White Chocolate Strawberry Tart
Mother's day is coming up, and if you need a simple and delicious dessert to impress and celebrate mom, then this white chocolate and strawberry tart recipe is it! With a few handy pantry staples and a punnet of fresh strawberries you can whip up this tart in no time at all, without the need to turn on your oven, which is always a bonus in my book! 👍 I also made a delicious fresh strawberry sauce to serve with this tart for extra indulgence, but if you don't like things too sweet, then simply serve with extra fresh sliced strawberries for a tangy contrast!
French Ricotta Dip and Roast Peppers Crostini Appetizers
Spring is upon us and I can't wait to burst out the lighter recipes and easy-living, more relaxed way of entertaining and hosting at home! So we're kicking off one of my favorite seasons, with this delicious, super quick and easy to make French Ricotta Dip and roast peppers crostini appetizer that's perfect to serve for an Oscars viewing party, a spring garden party or Easter brunch!
Now that summer's ending, this is the perfect recipe to make the most of those Cantaloupe melons which are still abundantly available, but not quite at their best. A few summers ago, my husband successfully grew cantaloupe melons from seed in our garden, and it's become one of favorite summer fruits! This year we have added it to salads, smoothies, fruit salads...and now, this delicious and refreshing melon lemonade!
This summer I've been making a lot of treats as you can probably tell from aaaall the recipe posts I've been sharing here on the blog 😋 And this tres leches (three milks) ice cream has become my go-to, easy treat to serve on its own or to accompany any dessert (think pies, cakes, fruit salad etc.). This milky and creamy ice cream recipe only requires 3 ingredients, which you probably already have at home, and NO ice cream machine in sight! 👍
Ever since I've shared my yummy strawberries and cream popsicles here on the blog, I've been asked if I can replace the cream with yogurt. So I decided to do just that, and have used Greek Yogurt instead of cream for a lighter, healthier take on these summer treats! Well, I didn't use any strawberries but mango puree instead. You can in fact use any seasonal fruit to make popsicles or frozen lollipops.
This recipe came about by accident, sort of. I was looking for a recipe online that I could make to use up all the blackberries I have growing in my garden. Eventually I found a simple enough cheesecake recipe and bought all the ingredients to make it, but on the day I decided to make it, the blackberries were not ripe yet! So, I swapped the blackberries for frozen summer berries (which I always have in the freezer), and it was a hit!
With the good temps arriving, entertaining at home seems to be on the horizon again, and we're thrilled! But this summer, I'm aiming for more low-key, relaxed kind of celebrations and savoring aaaaall the season has to offer in a simple and effortless way. Whos' with me? Exit all the hours spent prepping and cooking, in favor of a more "organic" way of hosting! Photo credit above: Greek Salad Skewers from Little Broken
No-Bake Key Lime Pie Recipe with a Biscoff Cookie Base
Summer is nearly upon us, and this no-bake key lime pie is the answer to all your dessert needs! This key lime pie recipe is SO easy and quick to make, requires NO baking and only requires 5 ingredients! I've made this key lime pie also as parfaits or individual cups, which works just as well and is super practical , not to mention dainty, to serve at any family gathering or any event you may be hosting this season!
I know summer is nearly over, but fear not! With this t ropical, savory rice dish you're sure to keep those summer vibes going a little while longer! 😉 Plus, it makes a great lunch or bento box addition! This tropical rice dish is something we serve quite a lot in summer, as it pairs beautifully with barbecued or grilled meats. But it's also a great dish on its own with a side salad, if you don't fancy firing up the grill!
Hibiscus Iced Tea Recipe
Ever since making my Hibiscus Margarita , I've been obsessing over new ways to include Hibiscus in other recipes. I know that iced tea is not necessarily a groundbreaking recipe to use hibiscus in, but since summer's here, I'm sharing another tasty beverage that you can whip up in no time to refresh your taste buds! This hibiscus iced tea is also super pretty, and the ideal drink to serve to the whole family at your 4th of July celebrations!
A Seaside Inspired Tablescape and 3 BBQ Recipes
Summer rhymes with BBQ and eating outdoors, so we've been cooking most of our evening meals on the BBQ this summer. It's a bliss not to have the oven on inside the house, and somehow, food just tastes so much better al-fresco, don't you think? So a few weeks ago, we decide on a baked version of the classic shrimp boil. But because it's cooked on a sheet pan on the barbecue...we called it BBQ shrimp.
Hi friends, hope you're enjoying the warmer temps wherever you are! As soon as the sun hits, I find myself making refreshing fruity drinks at home, like this pretty and delicious passion fruit lemonade! This recipe is a new take on my Brazilian limeade that I shared here on the blog a while back. But this lemonade is made with lemons (not limes) and tangy, sweet passion fruit for an exotic vibe!
