Fall is the season for pies, so I thought I'd share these tasty, savory feta cheese and sweet potato samosas or hand-pies, which are the perfect appetizer and ideal for entertaining! My husband cooks most of the time at our house, so this recipe is originally his, but using spinach instead of sweet potato, 'cause he's not a fan 😲 But because he had forgotten to buy the spinach, I snatched his ingredients to make these delicious feta cheese and sweet potato appetizers, because my kids and I LOVE sweet potatoes!
Fig, Prosciutto Ham and Feta Cheese Pizza
Fig season is upon us, and I couldn't pass up the chance to create a delicious recipe using the figs from my garden. Hence this Fig, Prosciutto ham and Feta cheese pizza ! We've had our fig tree for about 5 years now. Last year, the fruits were attacked by bugs before we could enjoy them, so I'm mega happy to be able to harvest anything we can this year. These figs are juicy, plump and super sweet, and although beautiful to eat as is; I decided to add them to a sweet and savory pizza alongside some delicious Prosciutto ham and Feta cheese.
Now that summer's ending, this is the perfect recipe to make the most of those Cantaloupe melons which are still abundantly available, but not quite at their best. A few summers ago, my husband successfully grew cantaloupe melons from seed in our garden, and it's become one of favorite summer fruits! This year we have added it to salads, smoothies, fruit salads...and now, this delicious and refreshing melon lemonade!
This summer I've been making a lot of treats as you can probably tell from aaaall the recipe posts I've been sharing here on the blog 😋 And this tres leches (three milks) ice cream has become my go-to, easy treat to serve on its own or to accompany any dessert (think pies, cakes, fruit salad etc.). This milky and creamy ice cream recipe only requires 3 ingredients, which you probably already have at home, and NO ice cream machine in sight! 👍
Ever since I've shared my yummy strawberries and cream popsicles here on the blog, I've been asked if I can replace the cream with yogurt. So I decided to do just that, and have used Greek Yogurt instead of cream for a lighter, healthier take on these summer treats! Well, I didn't use any strawberries but mango puree instead. You can in fact use any seasonal fruit to make popsicles or frozen lollipops.
This recipe came about by accident, sort of. I was looking for a recipe online that I could make to use up all the blackberries I have growing in my garden. Eventually I found a simple enough cheesecake recipe and bought all the ingredients to make it, but on the day I decided to make it, the blackberries were not ripe yet! So, I swapped the blackberries for frozen summer berries (which I always have in the freezer), and it was a hit!
Flowerpot Chocolate Chip Cupcakes with Sugar Paste Flowers
Since we've been sharing some wedding ideas in the last couple of weeks, I thought I'd post these flower pot cupcakes, since they'd be perfect for any wedding or bridal shower you may be planning! My go-to chocolate chip cupcakes are baked directly in small clay pots, then topped with a simple buttercream tinted green to give the illusion of grass, and crowned with handmade sugar paste edible flowers!
Hi friends! I've recently I worked with one of my favorite brands to create some dinosaur themed desserts for a recent photo shoot, which included this fun dinosaur shaped cake . So naturally, I had to share it with you guys! This dinosaur cake was SO easy to make and is perfect for a low-key birthday party at home, a fun school event or a 1st birthday smash cake! 😁 I used a dinosaur-shaped flexible cake pan, which made the whole process super easy and fun too!
With the good temps arriving, entertaining at home seems to be on the horizon again, and we're thrilled! But this summer, I'm aiming for more low-key, relaxed kind of celebrations and savoring aaaaall the season has to offer in a simple and effortless way. Whos' with me? Exit all the hours spent prepping and cooking, in favor of a more "organic" way of hosting! Photo credit above: Greek Salad Skewers from Little Broken
No-Bake Key Lime Pie Recipe with a Biscoff Cookie Base
Summer is nearly upon us, and this no-bake key lime pie is the answer to all your dessert needs! This key lime pie recipe is SO easy and quick to make, requires NO baking and only requires 5 ingredients! I've made this key lime pie also as parfaits or individual cups, which works just as well and is super practical , not to mention dainty, to serve at any family gathering or any event you may be hosting this season!
Rainbow Grazing Board for Saint Patrick's Day
Have you ever made a grazing board? It's one of my favorite ways to serve a NO-cook, fun and interactive meal to my family, whatever the occasion or celebration! You have probably seen the cheese and charcuterie board I did last month for Valentine's Day , so this month I thought I'd create a fun rainbow colored grazing board, which would be perfect for celebrating St. Patrick's Day at home! This grazing board looks SO pretty and is packed with all sorts of yummy fruits and vegetables, making it super healthy too! 😉
Easter is fast approaching, and if you bake nothign else this year, then bake this delicious carrot cake! This carrot cake is packed with delicious ingredients, and has a super moist crumb. Not to mention the mega easy, silky smooth cream cheese frosting on top! The frosting is made with condensed milk instead of powdered sugar, and is my favorite frosting by far!
Do you celebrate with pancakes day on Mardi Gras? It's tradition in our house, and this year I'll be making my kids favorites - banana and oatmeal pancakes for pancake day! 🥰 These healthier pancakes have become a staple at our house, and we cook them for breakfast often. They're like a healthy bowl of oatmeal, but in pancake form, which pleases the whole family! Plus, they're SO easy to make in a blender, and quite inexpensive too!
Valentine's Day Cheese and Charcuterie Board
Grazing boards are still as popular as ever! I've seen (and made myself) quite a few variations on the classic cheese and charcuterie boards - I've made vegetables grazing boards , chocolate grazing boards , brunch boards , and even a Taco Board ! But the classic, savory cheese and charcuterie is what my family likes best. So for this Valentine's Day, I lovingly put together a "pretty in pink " (and red 😁) cheese and charcuterie board filled with yummy treats to celebrate love day at home!
Game Day Favorite Recipes, DIY Decor & FREE Football Printables
This post is sponsored by the Game Day Favorites promotion at Publix. The opinions and text are all mine. If you ask me, there's no better way to celebrate the end of football season than with a delicious spread on game day! This year, our celebrations may look a little different, but that doesn't mean we can't still craft the perfect game-day experience at home with delicious treats and snacks for the whole family! So, today I'm sharing with you a couple of t asty, quick and easy recipes AND some fun FREE printables for your game-day party at home!
I recently saw a recipe for stained glass cookies made with hard candy or boiled sweets. They looked so pretty, but because I'm not a huge fan of those candies, I decided to make my own stained glass Christmas cookies using hard caramels instead. I chose regular-flavor hard caramels, as well as coffee and lemon flavored ones for a more "grown-up" twist on this recipe. The result is a less transparent cookie for the opaque caramel, but that tastes infinitely better in my opinion! 😉
This year, I decided to scale things down a bit. Therefore, I will spend less time scouring the shops to buy gifts, in favor of handmade or homemade presents. Not only this is infinitely less stressful, but it give me much more pleasure to make something by hand, helps me pass the time, and is far better for my wallet too! 😉 Hence this delicious, handmade (or homemade) lime marmalade , which is perfect to include in Holiday food hampers, to give to neighbors, as Christmas stocking fillers, or to add to your festive cheese boards at home!
Fall rhymes with pies and tarts, am I right? All that wonderful, seasonal produce is just begging to be included in the most comforting recipes. But to be honest, I don't always have those pretty farmer's market fresh fruit and veg to hand when I fancy a slice of pie (or tart). So this is where my Bakewell Tart recipe comes in SO handy! This tart recipe uses all store cupboard (shop bought) ingredients, is super easy to make and comes together in a flash!
Now that school has started, I find myself making this gluten-free banana bread in batches on the weekend, and serving it up for breakfast, snack and dessert throughout the week! This is such a quick and easy recipe to make, not to mention that it's also gluten free (my husband is gluten intolerant) and is super nutritious too! I like to serve it with fresh fruit, yogurt or cream cheese, and a drizzle of honey for a wholesome start to our day. But in all honesty, this banana bread is pretty tasty on its own, and needs nothing else. Apart from maybe a cup of coffee on the side? 😉
I know summer is nearly over, but fear not! With this t ropical, savory rice dish you're sure to keep those summer vibes going a little while longer! 😉 Plus, it makes a great lunch or bento box addition! This tropical rice dish is something we serve quite a lot in summer, as it pairs beautifully with barbecued or grilled meats. But it's also a great dish on its own with a side salad, if you don't fancy firing up the grill!
