Cinco de Mayo is nearly upon us and it's the perfect time of year to celebrate all things Mexican. Starting with the delicious, colorful cuisine, which of course includes some of my favorite fiesta cocktails! Last year I shared my cocktail recipe twist on the classic Mojito here . So this year I thought I'd do the same and re-visit another classic cocktail (the Moscow Mule), to inject a Mexican twist to my happy hour! 😉
Christmas is 'round the corner and if you need a delicious party cocktail for entertaining this season, then today's recipe is for you! It's such a simple cocktail to make, and you can mix it all directly in a copper mug, so no need for cocktail shakers or muddling! Plus, it also looks super festive with its crimson color, topped with pomegranate seeds and a rosemary sprig garnish!
Our cherry tress are currently heavy with fruit. And besides gorging ourselves right off the trees, I'm trying to use cherries in as many ways possible in my cooking before the birds eat them all! Yes, it's a battle for survival in the country, what can I say?! So brace yourselves for cherry everything coming to the blog. You're so welcome! 😋
As you probably saw in my last post , that the Mojito is my favorite cocktail of all time! I especially love concocting fruity versions of this much-loved beverage for all my summer parties, like Cinco de Mayo, which is just 'round the corner. One fruit version that is a a real hit with everyone, and that looks SO SO pretty, is the raspberry Mojito. Which I'm very happy to be sharing with you today. Least of all, because I get to make Mojitos on a weekday, and get to taste-test it for you! 😋
When it come to Holiday entertaining, it's always a great idea to serve a big-batch punch or signature cocktail that your guests can get stuck into straight away. Something that involves little effort, and maximum satisfaction is my motto. So for my Silver & Blue Cocktail and Appetizers party I shared earlier in the week, I did just that. Serving up a batch cocktail like this means you can prep it in advance and just forget about it, which in turn leaves you free to mingle and enjoy the party! Something we tend to forget sometimes at parties we host ourselves (sound familiar?) 😉
Happy Friday, party lovers! This week has been intense with thunderstorms and internet issues for us...but at least we're not in the path of tornado Matthew, so we're counting our blessings and sparing thoughts and prayers for those touched by the freak weather.

My mom lives in Rio, and she says the city is already buzzing with excitement and stunning displays to welcome the crowds!
If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram , you'd have seen how beautiful and lush the lavender I have growing around in the studio garden! Every time I go in there, I HAVE to stop and smells the scents in the air! Just dreamy... It's such a generous plant, and to me, synonymous with summer. So much so that I decided to pair it with peaches and incorporate it in a cocktail recipe that celebrates the best this season has to offer!
There's nothing we love more 'round here than a great summer cocktail! But when you have a small crowd to serve, making individual cocktails can be a little too taxing in the summer heat. So all the big-batch cocktails like this Pineapple Rum Sangria , get my vote every summer! It's perfect for entertaining this time of year, not to mention that it's super easy to make and tastes like tropical paradise in a glass!

Something about a bar that make me all excited for a party! Be it a confetti bar , a waffles bar , or a cocktail bar . I think it's because 'bars' by definition are a fun place to hang out! And also because they're SO easy to set up! Guests serve themselves and all you do as the hostess is watch everyone interacting and join in the fun! And that, my friends; is the great start for any party! ;)
Mildly entertaining true story: I planned to shoot this Cherry Blossom Cocktail recipe with the beautiful cherry flowers we have in our cherry trees. But when it came to the shoot day, the blossom were all washed out by the rain! Shock horror! But I soon spotted that our peach trees were in fact blossoming (and looked pretty similar to the cherry ones..) and so decided to Google it, and lo and behold; it turns out they are just as edible as cherry blossom. Phew!
