Following on from our lemon themed party , today I'm sharing the super pretty, but oh-so-easy-to-make lemon decorated cookies I made for that event. Sugar decorated cookies is another of my passions, but as much as I love a detailed cookie design, most often I'll try to simplyfy the techniques to make the decorating part more fun (and quicker)! 😉

I made this mousse a few weeks ago in view of shooting it for the lemon party I shared last week . But this is one of those desserts that deserves its own post! This lemon and white chocolate mousse is so delicious, light and refreshing, not to mention super pretty due to its charming lemon shape. Therefore, I'm naming it "best dessert of the summer"! 😊

This red white and blue patriotic 4th of July cake was inspired by fireworks, and so I think it's safe to say more is more in this case? 😁 It's a vanilla sponge layer cake in red, white and blue on the inside and out, and covered in a vanilla American buttercream, drenched in patriotic sprinkles and fun swirls on the top!
